Comedy looks easy when you’re sitting in the audience — but every punchline, pause, and laugh comes from craft and experience. At The Comedy Pub, we don’t just host shows; we also teach the art behind the laughter. Our comedy courses are built for beginners, aspiring performers, and anyone who’s ever thought, “I could do that!” Our instructors are working comedians who perform across Europe and know what it takes to get real laughs from real people. They’ll teach you the tools, techniques, and mindset that make Stand-up a skill — not just luck. By the end of your first course, you won’t just understand how Stand-up works. You’ll be Standing on our stage, performing your own five-minute set in front of a live audience.

OUR COURSES
We offer a variety of comedy courses throughout the year at The Comedy Pub. The courses are designed for different levels, interests, and languages. There are courses for complete beginners, as well as workshops for people who already have some stage experience and want to improve their material. Our courses take place directly at The Comedy Pub. That means you are not learning in a sterile seminar room, but in a real comedy club in Vienna, where stand-up comedy is performed every week in both English and German. This gives you a realistic feeling for the stage, the microphone, the lights, the audience, and the energy of a real comedy night.

Just bring yourself, an open mind, and something to write with. No experience is required — only curiosity and the willingness to step on stage.
Certification & Showcase
Each course ends with a showcase night where participants perform live at The Comedy Pub. You’ll receive a certificate of participation and, more importantly, the confidence that comes from hearing an audience laugh at your material.
