Peter Sidell: The Lamborghini Joke | English Stand-Up Vienna

Peter Sidell brings The Lamborghini Joke to Vienna: a sharp, oddball, donation-based stand-up show about capitalism, culture and modern life

Like comedy, but against capitalist exploitation?

English comedian Peter Sidell brings his brand new stand-up show The Lamborghini Joke to Vienna for a donation-based night of sharp, strange and unpredictable comedy at The Comedy Pub Vienna.

Armed with acerbic wit and leftfield humour, Peter takes aim at the absurdities of modern capitalism in a casual work-in-progress show built around one seemingly simple joke about a Lamborghini.

From there, things get considerably stranger.

Expect comedy about manspreading, ant nipples, pick-up lines for Jehovah’s Witnesses, the empathy of Star Wars and plenty of other ideas that probably should not fit together, but somehow do.

The Lamborghini Joke takes an old joke and stretches it far beyond where any reasonable person would have stopped, turning it into a dry, oddball and deliberately unconventional stand-up show.

It is part comedy crusade, part experiment and part attempt to understand the increasingly bizarre world we have built for ourselves.

If you like English stand-up comedy that is intelligent, offbeat, political without becoming a lecture and willing to follow an idea somewhere unexpected, this is a show worth seeing.

About Peter Sidell

Originally from England, Peter Sidell began performing stand-up comedy while living in Japan. Since then, he has performed across Asia and beyond, developing a distinctive style built around dry delivery, unusual observations and leftfield ideas.

In 2023, Peter took a show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, one of the world’s largest and best-known comedy festivals.

Now he brings The Lamborghini Joke to Vienna as a work-in-progress performance.

English stand-up comedy in Vienna

If you are looking for English comedy in Vienna, live stand-up, international events or something different to do in the city, The Lamborghini Joke offers a very different kind of comedy night.

This is not a standard open mic and not a polished greatest-hits set. It is a work-in-progress solo show where new ideas, strange connections and unexpected jokes are developed live in front of the audience.

The show is donation based, making it easy to come along, discover something new and support live comedy in Vienna.
